Travertine is a sedimentary rock formed when calcium carbonate is deposited in hot geysers. Travertine is usually formed with air bubbles which can be filled with resin or honed to a smooth finish. The tumbled finish that we offer is created using a water jet which gives the always popular rustic finish whereas the honed, smooth finish is created using a higher power water jet.
